This is a mascot that is a tree. A tree wearing a tallit, likely in honor of all the Jewish football players participating in today’s game. It is the greatest mascot in sports history.

i’m just mad they list @stanford as 1 list position more unbearable than the the naval academy.
Okay, first of all, there are VERY few people at Stanford who wear Brooks Brothers on a regular basis. Most of those people are business students. Even the fratters don’t do it that often. So good luck with that.
On a sartorial note, what’s interesting about Brooks Brothers is that the clothes aren’t particularly expensive (not really more so than my #1 FAVORITE STORE IN THE UNIVERSE J. Crew) or that over-the-top preppy, unless you’re really trying. Vineyard Vines is a much greater offender in the WASP/white/whatever category. Critter shorts are never acceptable. I also think seersucker is never acceptable and part of an “aesthetic of social exclusion” as I am fond of saying, but “Seersucker Thursday” is a big deal in DC.
Finally, my issue with the list is that Duke and Yale (sorry Loyal Reader alumni from those schools!) are glaring absences from that list. But including Vandy, Georgetown and UVA is clutch.
stuartinwashington asked: Agree with your Tweets re: liberals and progressives complaining about Obama. Not to be a raging centrist, but Obama is the best progressives will ever do in terms of the White House. Past a certain (limited) extent, complaining about the President weakens him vis-a-vis Republicans, and that's not good. Conservatives know when to fall into line; Democrats need to learn to STFU sometimes and focus on winning, not principle.
